Kathleen M. (Brosnahan) Vandiford

LITTLETON - Kathleen M. (Brosnahan) Vandiford, 79, of Littleton passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday afternoon, May 31, 2023, in the Lahey Hospital in Burlington. She was born on February 6, 1944 in Worcester, a daughter of the late Daniel F. and Florence (Graveline) Brosnahan and was a 1963 graduate of West Boylston High School and Our Lady of Providence Brightside Pediatric Training Course in West Springfield, MA. She also graduated from Assabet Regional Technical School as a certified dental assistant. She was the beloved wife of Lawrence L. Vandiford with whom she shared 58 years of marriage. Kathleen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her family was her entire world and she cherished every moment spent with them. After raising her family, Kathleen worked as a certified dental assistant at a dental practice in Littleton for 16 years. She resided in Littleton since 1976. As an Air Force wife she fully supported her husband and family at various duty stations including Hawaii, California, and MA. She was an active parishioner of St. Anne Church of the Blessed Trinity Parish where she was a member of The Sodality of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Kathy enjoyed gardening, arts/crafts, and traveling. She also loved animals as well as watching and feeding birds at her home. She leaves her husband Lawrence; three daughters, Lisa and her husband Richard Warren of MA, Laura A. Nett, Leeann and her husband Dennison Herger, and a son, Michael Vandiford and partner Diana Oliva, all of TX; two brothers, John and his wife Kathy Brosnahan of SC and Paul and his wife Linda Brosnahan of MA; a sister Joanne Elliott of FL; four grandchildren, Michael Nett of NH, Joshua Warren of NV, Samantha Herger and Lawson Herger of TX; a great-grandson, Aiden Jax Herger also of TX, and several nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by her three brothers, Daniel Brosnahan, Jr., Arthur Brosnahan, and Ralph Brosnahan. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
