Kandice E. (Walton) Goguen

Ashby - Kandice E. (Walton) Goguen, 77, of Ashby passed away among family on Monday, September 23, 2024 in the HealthAlliance Leominster Hospital. Kandice was born on June 28, 1947 in Leominster, a daughter of the late Roger and Marilyn (Manning) Walton and had resided in Ashby for most of her life. She attended Ashby High School where she met Barry, the love of her life. She worked throughout her career in the healthcare industry working in the admitting and emergency room departments at Burbank Hospital and Leominster Hospital prior to her retirement. Kandice enjoyed spending time at the beach with favorite spots in Maine and Florida. She loved hunting for heart-shaped rocks, laying in the sun, and drinking her morning coffee by the seawall while watching the sunrise. She was also a “fashionista” who loved to shop. With an impressive shoe and pocketbook collection, her white capris, and her collection of bright tops, she prided herself in “putting it all together” for any event. Kandice was most proud of her family and her collection of life-long friends (who were truly also a part of her family). Family was her greatest love, and her greatest gift. Kandice leaves her husband of 60 years Barry W. Goguen of Ashby; a son, Christopher Goguen, and his wife, Lisa of Mountain Top PA; four daughters, Lisa Goguen of Northport, FL, Stacey Squatrito, and her husband, Leo of Hopkinton, Jody Cheney, and her husband, Donald of Canandaigua, NY, and Marcy Goguen of Gardner; two sisters, Kim Foley of Medfield and Jennifer Maguy of Leominster; nine grandchildren, Joshua Cheney, and his fiancé Jordan Rankin, Christian Cheney, Julia Cheney, Dominic Yannino, and his fiancé Shelly Sisombath, Sara Squatrito, A.J. Paquet, Jack Paquet, Cora Goguen, Henry Goguen, and numerous nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by her brother Roger Walton, III, and her sister, Rhonda Burris. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 28 from 2 to 5 PM in the T. J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 250 Main St., Townsend. A time of prayer and reflection will take place during the calling hours starting at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J.
