Jody A. Cadieux

FITCHBURG - Jody Cadieux of Fitchburg, MA passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2023. Her family is deeply saddened by her sudden death. Jody was born on May 4, 1957, to Robert and Vera (Salalaiko) Cadieux. A lifelong resident of Fitchburg, MA, Jody started her younger years at St. Joseph Catholic School then graduating from Fitchburg High School, Class of ’75. Jody went on to achieve her associate degree from Mount Wachusett Community College. Jody entered the Software Industry with determination and a strong work ethic. Her attention to detail and ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy lead her to the position of Intel Supply Demand Manager, ECG. She dedicated over 30 years to her career where she went on to meet lifelong friends whom she remained close with all these years later. Jody tried to live a semi-retired life and took a part-time position working in the kitchen at Leominster Market Basket. During her many years with Market Basket, she met many great people, tested strengths but eventually decided to fully enjoy semi-retired living. In the fall of 2022, Jody accepted a position working as an Administrative Assistant at Fisheye Software allowing her less time on her feet and more time spent with her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Brianne Cadieux and her fiancé Greg Hanson, grandchildren Ava and Weston. Her sister Debra (Cadieux) Raymond and her husband Kevin Lancaster. Her nieces Stephanie Boudreau & Michelle Boudreau and her husband Jeff Snow, their children Cody, Sydney, Jordin, Reilly and Kamryn. Her nieces and nephew Sara Penniman, Joshua Cadieux and Katelyn Cadieux. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Robert and Vera Cadieux, her brother Bob Cadieux and many aunts and uncles. Her successes continued to grow when she gave birth to her only daughter, Brianne. Brianne was Jody’s entire world and everything she did was to ensure Brie had everything she could ever want and more. Jody’s determination shined as a single mom who unselfishly split her time between work and parenthood. She spent her free time coaching Brie’s softball teams, traveling, and sharing some of life’s greatest moments. Everyone who knew Jody felt her big heart and giving nature. Even though Jody only had one daughter, she selflessly shared her motherly compassion and support with her nieces, Mick & Steph. Her love didn’t stop there, her greatest, most favorite role as Grandma was given to her in 2010 with the birth of her first granddaughter and again in 2014 by her “Boy”. She will be missed, especially by those grandchildren, Ava and Weston, with whom she spent most of her free time with, going on beach trips, whale watches, Great Wolf Lodge adventures and endless hours of snacks, and family dinners. Jody took her role of Grandma to the next level, loving on and spoiling her grandchildren and grand-doggie, Stella. Jody had the biggest heart. She was fearless and independent, yet sensitive and incredibly compassionate. She loved the beach, vacations, cooking, going to the casino, her family, friends and nice cold “Captains & Diet” to end the day. Jody was very family oriented, bringing her family and friends together for holidays, parties and random dinners with her love for cooking and feeding those she loved. Although we had to say goodbye far too soon, we all know that Jody will be our guardian angel and will watch over us with her unconditional love and support! Services will be held in the Anderson Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon Street, Fitchburg, MA 01420 on Monday, July 24th from 4:00-6:00pm. A memorial service will follow in the funeral home from 6:00-7:00pm. Feel free to come gather and listen/share some of your favorite memories of Jody.
