Christine A. (Lanteigne) Spain

Shirley: Christine Ann Spain (Lanteigne), age 66, passed away on December 11 2023 after a short illness. She was born in Leominster, Massachusetts on August 22 1957 and spent the majority of her life residing in her hometown of Shirley, Massachusetts. Christine was a firecracker! Not one to sit quietly or well behaved in the corner at a party. She left lasting impressions on all whose lives crossed paths with hers, and memories that will be cherished forever. Christine’s favorite pastime was time spent with friends & family, with whom she had many. Christine’s love for her rescued Pit Bull Lilly was unmistaken. She crafted hand cooked meals for her and her greatest joy was to snuggle with Lilly, while singing “You are my sunshine” to her. Christine was very passionate when it came to her love of food & dining with loved ones. That passion didn’t carry over into the kitchen though, where she was famous for her culinary disasters that shocked her family, made them laugh, and caused them to proceed cautiously whenever they ate dinner at her house. When she wasn’t at home catching her kitchen on fire, she enjoyed gardening, yard sales, trivia night, watching Fox News with the volume turned up to a deafening level, crocheting, playing cards, stealing tip cuttings of plants in public places, Red Sox, New England Patriots, and country music performer Luke Bryan (music & his tight jeans). She lit up the room with her funny antics and left everyone she met laughing. Chances are, if you met her, you have a funny story about her and she probably beat you arm wrestling. She leaves behind many loved ones who will miss her dearly. Her mother and father Shirley & James Lanteigne, sisters Toni Callahan & Karen Doiron, brother Jimmy Lanteigne, Children Lisa Carroll & David Lanteigne and his wife Janine, grandchildren Jameson and Jaxon Carroll, father of her children David Harkins, nieces & nephews Hannah, Allison, Jessica, Jonathan, Kevin, Bryan and Jonathan along with numerous cousins & family from NH. She will be deeply missed but her story and memories will remain in our hearts forever. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM Thursday, December 21, 2023 at St. Anthony's Church, 14 Phoenix Street, Shirley.
