Carol Ann (Flanders) Ferguson, of Townsend

Townsend-Carol Ann (Flanders) Ferguson, 68, of Townsend passed away on Tuesday morning, November 19, 2024 in her home. Carol was born in Attleboro, MA on July 21, 1956, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Vivian (Pottle) Flanders. She was a graduate of Newton North High School. Carol was an incredibly hard worker, always focused on providing for her family. She was recently retired, finishing her career after many years at Bruce Technologies in Billerica. She built a wonderful life with her partner John Kubat, spending the last 22 years in their Townsend home together. Much enjoyment came from sitting in the big backyard on summer days overlooking the garden or admiring the bluebirds and cardinals that visited so often. The local community was also important, and you could often find her out socializing with neighbors on walks with her dog Buster. Her greatest joy was her family. She adored her children and grandkids, and her sisters were all especially close to Carol. Holidays were special times. She loved the traditions – Thanksgiving turkey, egg hunts, and presents under the tree. But hosting and sitting around the dinner table with everyone was what mattered most. Carol was a resilient, strong, caring individual that will be sorely missed by those that knew and loved her. Carol leaves her life companion of 36 years, John Kubat of Townsend; a son, John Ferguson, and his wife, Mandy of Acton; a daughter, Danielle Ferguson of Natick; two sisters, Susan Muise of Newton and Jeannie Weiner of Framingham; grandchildren, Alexandria Ferguson, Joseph Simao, III, Lincoln Ferguson, Bowen Ferguson and several nieces and nephews. Carol is predeceased by a sister Patricia Vurpillatte. Her calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 24, from 2 to 4:30 PM followed by a prayer service at 4:30 PM in the T.J.
