Alice Rose (Palladino) Moore

TOWNSEND: Alice Rose (Palladino) Moore, 90, of Townsend, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 1, 2023 at her home with her family by her side. Alice was born in Boston on July 30, 1932, daughter of Alfred J. and Evelyn (Sallaway) Palladino. She grew up in South Boston and Somerville. She attended the Somerville Schools and continued her education to obtain her GED and Accounting Certificate at Middlesex Community College. Alice had worked as a bookkeeper at several different companies in her career. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, watercolor painting and baking cookies, pies and breads. Alice had been an active member of the Townsend Senior Center for many years prior to her illness. She enjoyed going out to lunch and talking on the phone with her friends Kathy, Jen and Carol. Alice loved talking to her grandchildren and hearing about their life events. She enjoyed most recently being able to spend time with her great grandchildren. She was predeceased by both her parents, her late brother in law Michael Colangelo, her sister Christine Colangelo of Belmont, her late brother Alfred J. Palladino, Jr. of Medford as well as her sister in law Dottie Palladino of Medford. Alice is survived by four sons and daughters in law, Donald C. Moore, II and his wife Jane Moore of Derry, NH, Alan R. Moore and his wife Kimberlee Moore of Laconia, NH, Jason S. Moore and his wife Michelle Moore of Manchester, NH and Steven J. Moore and his wife Teresa Moore with whom Alice resided in Townsend for the past 20 years; Alice had six grandchildren, Dr. Donald Moore, III and his wife Melissa Moore of North Carolina, B. Moore, Ashley Moore, Kyle Moore and his wife Sara Moore of Merrimack, NH, Victoria Moore, and Cole Moore and three great grandchildren, Charlie Moore, Annabelle Moore and Donald Moore (DJ), Jr., IV. She is also survived by her nieces Cindy Kelly, Nanci Palladino, Donna Sledz and Jacqui Falco along with their families; and her nephew John Palladino and his family. Alice’s family will receive relatives and friends at calling hours from 4-7 PM Thursday, April 6, 2023 at the Anderson Funeral Home, 250 Main Street, (Rte 119) Townsend, MA Graveside services will be held 11 AM on Friday, April 7, 2023 at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, 52 Bedford Street, Burlington, MA
