    September 13, 1919 - November 3, 2018

    Ayer: Yvonne S. (Maillet) Vincent, 99, resident at Nashoba Park Assisted Living and formerly of Leominster and Westminster, died Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Life Care of Leominster. She was the wife of Eugene J. Vincent who died in April 1974. Yvonne was born in Bangor, Maine, September 13, 1919, a daughter of William and Elizabeth (Richard) Maillet and was a longtime resident of Westminster and Liberty Place, Leominster. A mother and homemaker, she enjoyed crafts, sewing and later in life became an avid reader. While residing in Westminster, she attended St. Edward the Confessor Church. Yvonne worked as a welder at the Florence Stove Company in Gardner during WW II. Yvonne leaves two sons, David Vincent of Acworth, Georgia, Gary W. Vincent and his wife Sharon, of Lunenburg; a daughter, Donna King and her husband, Rick, of Wilmington, NC; her grandsons, Daniel Rukas and his wife Meghan of Sharon, Jessie King of Wilmington, NC, Evan W. Vincent of Medford, Grady D. Vincent of Watertown; two great grandchildren, Phoebe Rukas and Sylvie Rukas. She was predeceased by her sister, Leona Reis of New Bedford in 1996 and her daughter in law, Roseann (Chillemi) Vincent in 2014. Mrs. Vincent was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She possessed a quiet strength and faith that sustained her in life. Although a woman of few words, her warmth and kindness was illustrated in her beautiful smile and calm demeanor. We will miss you Meme. A memorial service will held 6 PM Thursday, November 8, 2018 at the Isabelle & Anderson Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon Street, Fitchburg. Mrs. Vincent’s family will receive family and friends on Thursday from 5:00PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Resident Fund at Nashoba Park Assisted Living, Ayer MA.
