William F. Brown Sr.

January 11, 1946 - August 28, 2021

TOWNSEND - William F. Brown, Sr., 75 years of age and long-time resident of Townsend, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 28, 2021. Born in Fitchburg, on January 11, 1946, Bill was one of three siblings, children of the late Frank R. and Dorothy N. (Poore) Brown. A talented mechanic and handy-man, for many years Bill owned and operated Brown’s Auto Body on Dudley Road in Townsend. One of Bill’s other talents and passions, was cooking. In his youth, he was an avid biker who traveled annually to Laconia Bike Week with his friends. In addition, Bill had a deep appreciation and love for all animals. A true friend and townie to all who knew him, Bill was a loving and sweet man who touched many with his sense of humor, his wittiness; his kindness and generosity. In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his infant sister Nancy. Bill is lovingly survived by his fiancée, Judy Boucher of Townsend; his son, William F. Brown, Jr., and his wife Danielle of Lexington, KY; his daughter, Donna L. Brown Edelman, and her husband Glen of West Springfield; his sister, Linda Hirschfelt of Fernley, NV; his grandchildren, Michael and Benjamin Brown, Stephen, Bryan and Zachary Edelman; and his great-grandchildren, Elliot Brown and Carter Edelman.
