William A. Jena Jr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

PEPPERELL: William A. Jena., Jr., 88, of Pepperell, formerly of Fitchburg, died Friday, February 26, 2021 at Health Alliance – Leominster Hospital. His wife of 46 years, Eleanor J. (Labbe) Jena died in January 2003. Mr. Jena was born in Fitchburg, July 16, 1932, a son of William A. and Dora (Lizotte) Jena, Sr. and resided in Fitchburg for most of his life. During the Korean Conflict Mr. Jena served his country in the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge from the armed forces, Mr. Jena went to work at Mill # 1 of Crocker Technical Papers/James River Paper Company where he remained until its closing in 1989. Following the mill closure, he attended Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner where he obtained a certificate in computer accounting, After retiring he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and playing poker. He leaves his son and daughter in law, William A. Jena III and Deborah Jena with whom he resided in Pepperell; his daughter and son in law, Nancy and Torger Torgersen of Fitchburg; his sister, Shirley Loveless of California; seven grandchildren, Julie Barrett and her husband, Bobby, Erik Torgersen and his wife, Maria, Laura Landine and her husband, Tom, Angela Woodcome and her husband, Patrick, Lisa Torgersen, Johnathan Jena and his wife, Winter, Andrew Jena and his wife, Madeleine; thirteen great grandchildren, Tyler Bedard, Brendan Bedard, Nora Barrett, Evianna Barrett, Mikkel Torgersen, Annika Torgersen, Dakota Torgersen, Cole Landine, Madison Landine, Quinn Landine, Billie Landine, Noah Woodcome and Isaac Woodcome. He was predeceased by his grandson, William Jena IV. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Isabelle & Anderson Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon Street, Fitchburg. Interment with military honors will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Mr. Jena’s family will receive family and friends on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the service.
