    Theresa M. (Boudreau) Willard Maxfield

    August 2, 1935 - December 30, 2018

    LEOMINSTER- Theresa M. (Boudreau) Willard Maxfield, 83, of Leominster, died Sunday, December 30, 2018, in the UMass Memorial Health Care Center in Worcester. She was born in Leominster on August 2, 1935, a daughter of the late Emile and Eva (LeBlanc) Boudreau. She graduated from St. Bernard’s High School in 1953 and later returned to Fitchburg State College to earn her teaching degree in 1976. Theresa has lived in Leominster for the past 19 years, prior to that she had resided in Townsend for 40 years. Theresa was an English reading specialist in the Milford, NH school system for several years prior to her retirement. She enjoyed bird watching, gardening and playing cribbage and cherished her time spent with family. She leaves a son Robert E. Willard, II of Washington, DC, and five daughters; Cathy Maxfield and her husband Butch of Harrison, ME, Susan Hamel and her husband Jim of Townsend, Donna Lebkuecher and her husband Gus of Maine and Utah, Becky Doyle and her husband Alan of New Ipswich, NH and Carol Holmstock and her husband David of Berwick, ME; a step-son; Brian Maxfield and his wife Carole of Lowell, MA, two step-daughters; Lisa Contreras of Leominster and Lynne Boyce of Fitchburg; a sister, Marie Marino of Leominster; 11 grandchildren; Joshua, Justin, Julie, David, Shane and Emilie, Eric, Joshua, Monique, Ryan, Audrey and 8 great grandchildren; Kyle, Mackenzie, Kinnon, Caiden, Katelyn, Anna, Tarryn and Teagan. She is predeceased by her former husband Robert Willard, her second husband Raymond Maxfield, a grandson Craig Maxfield and two brothers, Edward Boudreau and Jean Paul Boudreau A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 11 AM in St. John’s Church, 1 School Street, Townsend. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Townsend. There are no calling hours. The T.J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 250 Main St., Townsend is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
