Rita J. (Ledoux) Rollo

TOWNSEND: Rita J. (Ledoux) Rollo, 90, of Townsend, died Friday, November 26, 2021 at Lowell General Hospital. Her husband of 62 years, George A. Rollo, died in October 2012. Rita was born in Highgate, Vermont, January 30, 1931, one of nine children born to Henry and Rose (Larocque) Ledoux and has resided in Townsend for 59 years. She was a graduate of St. Anne’s Academy in Swanton, Vermont. For 20 years Rita worked as a teacher’s aide at Spaulding Memorial School in Townsend retiring in 1990. She was a member of St. John’s Church, Townsend. She had a love for music and enjoyed many years playing the keyboard. She loved painting and trips to the beach, but what was most special to her was spending time with family and friends. She leaves two sons, Timothy G. Rollo and his wife Patti of Townsend, Brian A. Rollo and his wife Kathie of Mason, NH; two daughters, Vickie L. Shattuck and her husband George of Ashburnham, Susan M. Michaud and her husband Dave of Townsend; nine grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren. Rita had a love for life and an inner strength and faith beyond measure. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was loved by many and will be truly missed. Funeral services will be held privately.
