LOWELL-Richard A. Neveu, 60, of Lowell, formerly of Townsend, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021 in the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Rick was born in Lowell on January 28, 1961 a son of the late Leona (Lamoureux) Neveu. He grew up in Lowell and graduated from Greater Lowell Technical High School. Shortly after his graduation from high school Rick joined the United States Navy and served for four years attaining the rank of Electricians Mate Petty Officer and was honorably discharged in 1984. Rick was employed as a machinist at High Tech Machinist, Inc. in Chelmsford and was a long time employee of the Catcher’s Mitt Pub in Lowell. He enjoyed time with family and yearly vacations at Lake Winnipesaukee and golf trips to Myrtle Beach with his friends. He loved listening to Little Big Town and The Who and watching New England Sports. He loved sitting by a fire and splitting wood for it and spending time in the sun. He loved Chocolate bars and Budweiser. Rick leaves his father, Paul F. Neveu, Sr. of Lowell; a sister, Michelle A. LeBlanc and her husband Leo of Townsend; two brothers, Paul F. Neveu, Jr. and his wife Adriana of Lowell and Maurice Neveu and his wife Karen of North Carolina; ; nephews and nieces. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 in Mahoney Funeral Home, 187 Nesmith St., Lowell form 3 to 7PM. A celebration of Rick’s life will be held on November 6, 2021, at 12PM at The Catchers Mitt Pub 726 Gotham St., Lowell. In lieu of flowers memeorial contributions may be made to the Jimmy Fund, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168 The T.J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 250 Main St., Townsend is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.
