Mary E. (Stanger) Muchata Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

LITTLETON: Mary E. (Stanger) Muchata, 81, of Shirley, a former longtime Littleton resident, died Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Emerson Hospital, Concord. Her husband of 46 years, Richard F. Muchata, died in 2006. Mrs. Muchata was born Cambridge, February 26, 1940 a daughter of Louis and Catherine (Stone) Stanger and resided in Littleton for over fifty years before moving to Shirley three years ago. Mrs. Muchata had worked as an administrative assistant at Digital Equipment Corporation in Maynard and Sudbury as well as Avici Systems in Billerica. Prior to that she had worked in a similar capacity at the Walter E. Bartkus Real Estate Company in Littleton. She leaves two sons and daughters in law, James M and Deborah Muchata of Shirley, Richard and Jean Muchata of Danville, New Hampshire; a brother, James Stanger of Jamaica Plain; seven grandchildren; Corey Muchata, Chris Muchata, Richard Muchata, Ashlee Muchata, Megan Messenheimer, Dylan Muchata, Alex Muchata; two great grandchildren, Melissa Messenheimer and Cade Langlois. She was the sister of the late William Stanger. Funeral services for Mrs. Muchata will be held 10 AM Thursday, February 24, 2022 at the Anderson Funeral Home, 25 Fitchburg Road, (Rte 2A) Ayer. Burial will be in Cambridge Cemetery, Cambridge, MA . Calling hours will be held 4-7 PM Wednesday, February 23, 1022 in the funeral home.
