Mary H. Langille Chartrand Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

FITCHBURG: Mary H. (Shore) Langille Chartrand, 93, a former resident of Fitchburg and Ashby died peacefully Saturday, January 22, 2022 at her home. Mary was born in St. Augustine, Florida May 22, 1928, one of eight children born to Alfred and Helen (Bailey) Shore and grew up in the Johnson, St. Johnsbury and Bellows Falls, Vermont area. She was a 1946 graduate of Bellows Falls High School and continued her education at Burbank Hospital School of Nursing where she became a Registered Nurse. For fifteen years Mary worked as the school nurse at McKay School in Fitchburg retiring in 1992. Prior to that she had worked in a similar position in the North Middlesex Regional School District and at Burbank Hospital. She was a member of the Burbank Hospital Nursing School Association. She attended St. Joseph’s Church and the former Madonna of the Holy Rosary Church in Fitchburg. She leaves two daughters, Elizabeth A. Langille of Farragut, TN, Margaret Langille of Worcester; her brother, Richard Shore of Charleston, NH; five grandsons, Timothy Schult and his wife Madelyn, Andrew Schult, Christopher Schult, Michael Moshinsky and Adam Moshinsky; five stepchildren, Kevin Chartrand of Princeton, Dick Chartrand, Mark Chartrand, John Chartrand all of Leominster and Joan Peters of Royalston and eighteen step grandchildren. Mary also enjoyed wonderful relationships with many others including her nieces, nephews and many friends. She was the wife of Bernard F. Chartrand who died in 2013 and Edmund L. Langille who died in 1973. She was predeceased by her son, Edmund L. Langille, Jr. in 2019 and was the sister of the late Francis Shore, William Shore, Bailey Shore, Alfred Shore, Betty Moulton and Lucretria Lawrence. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Church, 49 Woodland Street, Fitchburg. Prayers of committal will be held 10 AM Saturday, May 21, 2022 in Glenwood Cemetery, Ashby. Mary’s family will receive family and friends at a visitation period 4-7 PM Monday, January 31, 2022 at Isabelle & Anderson Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon Street, Fitchburg.
