Linda P. (Gelinas) Hayward Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Linda Patricia Hayward (Gelinas/Robideau) was born on December 27, 1950 to the late Edmond and Dorilda (McCoy) Gelinas. She grew up in Fitchburg, MA with 4 older siblings – Edmond Gelinas, the late Joan Joachim, Janet Slome, and Robert Gelinas. She looked up to her older siblings who helped take care of her and grew up to find a best friend in her sister Janet. At 18, she married her first husband, the late Nelson Robideau, and together they had 3 beautiful daughters – Tara Barrett, Tanya Robideau, and Tiffany Mosca. Linda’s family was her greatest joy and she held so much pride in being able to care for and love them. She enjoyed visiting the ocean, took many trips with her kids to Hampton Beach, and loved sitting with her feet in the sand with her mother and sisters at Ogunquit. Linda was always a caregiver, often tending to the needs of those closest to her. She instilled the importance of family and love into her daughters and the generations to follow, making sure to end every conversation with the words “I love you!” She is survived by her second husband, Levis “Bill” Hayward, whom she married in 2000. Bill gave Linda an epic love story, whisking her away to explore the world. Their marriage together was exciting, filled with adoring love and brand new adventures. They made a new home in Naples, FL and were active members of the Shriners and Daughters of the Nile. Linda and Bill were always together; never seen apart and took care of each other. After 10 years, they moved back north and settled in Maynard, MA, where they could be closer to their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The walls of their warm, cozy home were decorated with many pictures of family members. She was always surrounded by those she loved. In 2021, Linda was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. Her battle lasted less than one year before passing, at the age of 71, on the morning of April 5, 2022. She was completely surrounded by her family at her side. Her final words were “I love you!” Linda’s family would love to have you join them in honoring the wonderful life she lived. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at The Isabelle & Anderson Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon Street, Fitchburg from 4-7pm. The Funeral “Celebration of Life” Service will be held at The Life Church located in the Knights of Columbus, 484 Lancaster Street, Leominster at 11am. Following the service, a committal service will be held at the Pieta Chapel in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, 474 Clarendon Street, Fitchburg, before heading to a Celebration of Life Luncheon at 12:30pm.
