    Leslie E. (Dakers) O'Keefe

    October 11, 1945 - August 24, 2018

    LEOMINSTER – Leslie E. (Dakers) O'Keefe, 72, of Leominster, formerly of Ayer and Shirley, died peacefully at home, Friday evening, August 24, 2018 surrounded by her loved ones. Leslie was born in Boston on October 11, 1945 a daughter of the late William and Gladys (Brown) Dakers and grew up in Hanover, graduating from Hanover High School. She worked as an administrator at Nashoba Nursing prior to her retirement. Before that she was employed at Adcare in Worcester and several years ago at Navtec in Littleton. Leslie enjoyed traveling, sewing, and playing mahjong with friends. She cherished the times spent with her family and was also a loving and gracious host. Her husband Philip O'Keefe died on February 14, 2018. She leaves a son Mark Liebert and his wife Darlene of Leominster; a daughter Stacey Liebert Jimenez and her husband Eduardo of Lawrenceville, GA; a step-son, Sean O'Keefe and his wife Vivian of Sedona, Arizona; a step-daughter, Stacey Reiling and her husband Richard of Nahant; a sister, Diane Keith of Abington; eleven grandchildren, Abigael Jimenez, Lukas Jimenez, Shawna Liebert, Justin Liebert, Joshua Liebert, Anthony Mastroberti, Amanda Ondrof, Colin Reiling, Michael Reiling, James “JP” Reiling, Riley O’Keefe; a great-grandson, Owen D'Ambroise and many nephews and nieces. Leslie’s family will receive family and friends at calling hours from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday, August 30, with a time of prayer and reflection at 7 PM in the Anderson Funeral Home, 25 Fitchburg Road (Rte. 2A), Ayer. Please see www.andersonfuneral.com for additional information. Private burial at the Mass Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon will be a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
