Julia M. (Neilson) Koranda Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

AYER – Julia M. (Neilson) Koranda, 81 of Ayer, and formerly of Acton, passed away at the UMASS Memorial Hospital in Worcester on Sunday, October 31, 2021. Born in Alma, Illinois, Julia was one of three siblings born to the late Dewey and Hazel (Emery) Neilson. Julia moved to Acton from Illinois in 1975. There, she raised her family, pursued her talent for interior designing, and began a career as a self-employed certified public accountant. She was an avid gardener and loved tending to her garden around the house. In addition to her parents, Julia was predeceased by her brother, Fred Neilson and her sister, Laura Duncan. Julia is lovingly survived by her sons, Kraig Koranda, and his partner, Kammy Burns of Milford, NH, Jeffrey Koranda, and his wife Jillian of Gardner; her grandchildren, Sara Brussard, Melissa Eldred, Cassandra Koranda, Savanna Koranda, Lauren Routhier and Isaiah Koranda; also survived by 21 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 4-7 PM in Anderson Funeral Home, 25 Fitchburg Road, Ayer, MA.
