Shirley: James P. “Jim” Uber, 51, of Shirley passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the University of Massachusetts – Memorial Hospital, Worcester from injuries sustained in motorcycle accident earlier that day. Jim was born in Leominster, February 11, 1970, a son of Charles Uber and Leslie (Welton) Jones and resided most of his life in Shirley. He was a 1988 graduate of Nashoba Valley Technical High School in Westford where his focus of study was Advanced Manufacturing. Throughout his career he became a highly skilled machinist. He enjoyed working on cars and was in the process of restoring a 1969 Camaro SS. In addition to his father of Nebraska and his mother of Shirley, he leaves his stepfather, David Jones of Shirley; his brother, William Uber of Shirley; two sisters, Kim Paxton and her husband Shad of Arizona, Allison Uber of Shirley; his nephew, Ryan O’Connell of Shirley and many aunts, uncles and cousins. A graveside service will be held 11:30 AM Monday, June 28, 2021 at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bishop Road, Ayer. The Anderson Funeral Home, 25 Fitchburg Rd, Ayer is assisting the family with arrangements.
