LEOMINSTER: Jacquelyn Marie (Lyons) Keating, 86, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 after a short illness. She was surrounded by her loving family in her final hours. Mrs. Keating was born on August 4, 1935 in Worcester. The daughter of John and Helena (Rooney) Lyons, she was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Robert Keating. She is survived by her two sons; John Keating of Naples, Florida and his companion Heather Bersch Titzer, and Robert Keating and his wife Nancy of Leominster, and three daughters; Patricia LaCross and her husband Steve of Leominster, Catherine McBride and her husband Brian of Leominster, and Moira Bradley and her husband Nils of Rye, NH. Jackie also leaves her cherished grandchildren; Kevin Keating and his wife Kara, Emily Morin and her husband Brian, Alison Keating, Timothy Keating, Kathleen Keating, Alana Keating, Brianna Bradley, Conal McBride, Tara Keating, Luke Bradley, Brendan McBride and Emma Bradley, as well as her five great-grandchildren, Addison Keating, Jack Morin, Carter Keating, Charlie Morin and Olivia Morin. Besides her husband, Mrs. Keating was predeceased by her brother, Robert Lyons, and her daughter-in-law, Kathleen Keating. Jackie was a devoted wife, loving mother of five children, as well as an amazing grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a 1953 graduate of St. Peter’s High School in Worcester and a 1957 graduate of Elms College in Chicopee, MA. She was a member of St. Leo’s Parish in Leominster. She and her husband were longtime members of St. Camillus de Lellis Parish in Fitchburg. An active member of the community, Mrs. Keating volunteered for many organizations, including the Burbank Hospital Guild, for which she ran the annual Burbank Fair. She also volunteered for many years at the Family Life Center in Fitchburg. Jackie loved to play bridge and was an avid golfer until recent years. She was a member of Oak Hill Country Club in Fitchburg and Island Country Club in Marco Island, Florida. Mrs. Keating was a longtime resident of Marco Island, Florida and was never happier than sitting on her deck, looking at the Gulf of Mexico. She had many fond memories of Marco, playing bridge and golf with her friends. She also had fond memories of the time spent in Marco with her children and grandchildren who made frequent trips to see her. Mrs. Keating's family will receive family and friends at calling hours 2-5 PM Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Isabelle & Anderson Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon Street, Fitchburg. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Monday, November 8, 2021 at St. Leo's Church, 108 Main Street, Leominster. Burial will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Fitchburg.
