Francis X. Day

He was born in Boston, on July 3, 1942, a son of the late, Charles D. and Catherine (McLaughlin) Day and had lived in Arlington for most of his life before moving to Ayer in 1996 and Fitchburg in 2010. Francis served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 until his honorable discharged in 1961. He owned and operated Day’s Autobody in Holliston for several years prior to his retirement in 2003. Francis was active through the years as a hockey coach in the town of Arlington and cherished his time spent with his grandchildren. He leaves a son, Brian F. Day and his wife Terry of Northbridge; two daughters, Donna M. Crepeau and her husband David of Tewksbury and Brenda Rolfe and her husband Will of Ayer; a brother Donny Day of Polk City, FL; three sisters, Lisa Pyle of NC, Kathy Day and Lori Campobasso both of Saugus; five grandchildren, Alyssa Green, Ryan Day, Zachary Rolfe, Alexandra Rolfe and Melanie Crepeau. In addition to his wife he is predeceased by a grandson, Benjamin Crepeau and a brother Robert Day.
