    Donald A. Lambert

    August 10, 1931 - April 20, 2022

PORT ST. LUCIE, FL/ SHIRLEY: Donald A. “Pe” Lambert, 90, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, formerly of Shirley, died Wednesday, April 20, 2022. Don is survived by two sons, Donald A. Lambert, Jr and his wife Lynn of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Mike Lambert and his wife Christine of Miramar, FL; two sisters, Dorothy Esposito of Cocoa Beach, FL, and Sylvia A. Callahan of Leominster. He also leaves five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and his special nieces and nephew. He was predeceased by his wife, Carol (Cournoyer) Lambert in May 1991, his brother Ralph Lambert of Shirley in 2019, and his brother Edward Lambert in 2020. Don raised two sons who loved spending every minute possible with him to the very end. Also, he was blessed with two daughters-in-law whose care for him both extended and enriched his long life. Don’s relationships with his grandchildren and great grandchildren were a blessing to all. Relationships were always important to him, whether family, extended family, work or volunteering. To the very end he shared his sense of humor and set an example of how to die with great dignity. From 1951-1954 Mr. Lambert served his country in the United States Navy. In 1963 he moved to Florida and ultimately owned and operated Dwyer, Lambert & Company in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, June 24, 2022 at St. Anthony’s Church, 14 Phoenix Street, Shirley. Burial will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Don would love to know that family and friends contributed to the two organizations with whom he volunteered for over 30 years, The Red Cross and/or Hospice. Hospice certainly honored Don’s volunteer services in their unbelievably compassionate care for him in his time of need. For that the family remains eternally grateful. The Anderson Funeral Home, 25 Fitchburg Road, Ayer is assisting the family with arrangements.
