TOWNSEND: David J. Young, 75, formerly of Townsend, Pepperell and Lunenburg died Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Care One, Concord. His wife of 52 years, Patricia A. (Poudrier) Young died June 20, 2017. Mr. Young was born in Fitchburg, January 15, 1945, a son of Norman R., and Doris R. (Jena) Young. Mr. Young worked in the shipping department of Nissen Bread Company in Fitchburg. He was an avid follower of history. Dave had a streak of honesty matched by none, and a great sense of humor that he passed on to his children. He leaves a daughter, Lori McDonald with her husband John, of Chelmsford, two sons, Kevin Young, of Fitchburg, and David Young with fiancé Heather, of Lunenburg, a sister, Nancy Young of Fitchburg, a daughter-in-law, Carol Young of Lowell and seven grandchildren, Alicia McDonald, Shannon Goddard, Danny Young, Carma Young, Roman Young, Breanne Mitchell, and Caylin Rymph, as well as a great-grandson, Jack Goddard. He was pre-deceased by his son Steven C. Young, who died in 2017, and two grandsons, David A. Young Jr., who died in 2004, and Michael McDonald, who died in 2016.
