Nicole Marie Westover-Rose

SHIRLEY – Nicole M. Westover-Rose, 51, of Shirley, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2023 in Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital. Nicole was born in Groton, MA on March 13, 1972, a daughter of Milton Westover of Shirley and the late Dorothy (Tourigny) Roberts, who passed away in 1997. She graduated from Ayer High School and continued her education by receiving numerous certifications, which resulted in a career as a Purchasing Administrator for Insulet Corp. in Acton. Nicole was not only extremely intelligent, but also wonderfully creative; she loved creating beautiful handmade goods and blankets for friends and family. She worked with many mediums, including fiber art and painting-she loved the flair of peacock feathers. Always giving of herself, Nicole’s cooking and baking were staples at all holidays and family functions. From pasta salads to homemade brownies, her dishes were always a favorite. No holiday was complete without a family boardgame. She enjoyed natural and holistic home remedies, she was extremely talented in creating homemade essential oil blends, muscle bars to alleviate aches, and pains etc., which friends and family frequently sought out. In her spare time, Nicole loved reading, watching reality TV, B-Horror movies, but most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and numerous friends. They were everything to her. She loved all animals, especially dwarf albino African frogs, and of course her fur-baby Chance. Her other beloved Bella passed last year. In addition to her father, Nicole is survived by her husband of 24 years, James Rose, her daughter Tabitha Westover and her partner Victoria Marr of Ayer; siblings, Joel Roberts and wife Hallie of Oregon, Sherry Harding and husband Ken of New Hampshire, and Margaret Westover and husband Jeremiah of New Hampshire; many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Elizabeth Rose of Wareham; sisters-in-law, Barbara St. Rock and husband Daniel of Assonet, Denise Gomes and husband Darren of Pocasset; brother-in-law, George A. Rose, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Wareham. She was predeceased by her father-in-law, George A. Rose, Sr. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
