L. Paul Collette III

WESTMINSTER: L. Paul Collette III, 63, of Westminster, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 Paul was born in Fitchburg, October 7, 1955, the son of Leo P. Collette Jr and the late Loretta E. (Leger) Collette. Paul and his family have resided in Westminster for over 40 years. He was a 1973 graduate of Oakmont Regional High School and received a Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Chemical Engineering from University of Maine in Orono. He worked in the paper industry with incredible passion for over 40 years. Most recently he worked at ABB as an Executive Solutions Manager. Pulp & Paper Digital HUB Business Unit Lead. Paul was a loving father, husband, grandfather, brother and friend to everyone. In addition to his father, Leo Paul Collette Jr, of Ashburnham, Paul leaves his wife of 43 years, Patricia A. (Lorden) Collette; two sons, L. Paul Collette IV, his wife Tamara, Shawn T. Collette, his wife Katie, both of Westminster; his daughter Sarah L. Horgan, husband Kevin of Ashburnham; three brothers, Richard M. Collette of West Boylston, Michael P. Collette of Gardner, David J. Collette of Ashburnham; his sister, Michelle A. Gianino of Ashburnham and ten grandchildren, Payton Collette, Liam Horgan, Addison Collette, Molly Horgan, Lucie Horgan, Cody Collette, Emma Collette, Camden Collette, Aidan Horgan and Chace Collette, extended family Phillip Grimm of Munich Germany, Julie Paine of Ashburnham and many loving in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. Paul will be remembered for his quick wit, passion for others, ability to command a room and stories that seemed to never end. He enjoyed spending time with is family, traveling with his wife, coaching his childrens sports and golfing with friends and family. Throughout the years Paul remained very active in his children’s and grandchildren’s sports and school activities, never missed any of their games or events. He was a New England sports fan and loved watching games with his sons and brothers. An avid boater, Paul spent many summer days on Naukeg Lake with his family and loved nothing more than enjoying summer sunsets at the lake. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, February 25, 2019 at St. Denis Church, 85 Main Street, Ashburnham. Those attending are kindly asked to meet at church. Spring interment will be private. Paul’s family will receive family and friends at calling hours from 1-4 PM Sunday, February 24th at the Anderson Funeral Home, 25 Fitchburg Rd (Rte 2A) Ayer.
