John "Johnny Mac" McCall

John “Johnny Mac” M. McCall 45, of Phillipston; formerly of Fitchburg passed away at his home on June 27, 2022. John was born on May 2, 1977 in Fitchburg, he was the son of the late Joyce A. Betz and the late John J. McCall. John was born and raised in Fitchburg before locating to Phillipston in 2011. He attended Fitchburg High School and took classes at MWCC. He had previously been employed by Rainbow Play Systems, USA Auto and JBM Services. John had a love for music of all genres especially old school rap and anything with a bass that was super bumping. He also loved cookouts with family and friends, trips to Hampton Beach with Kristen, holiday gatherings and any chance he got to spend time with his daughters. He enjoyed gardening and watching movies of all types and caring for his dogs. His dogs Buster, Cali, and Goose meant the world to him. John had a deep love for his family and true friends. He was always willing to lend a hand and very protective of those he loved. John is survived by two daughters Ashlee Leblanc and her partner Andrew Escobar of Lunenburg, Jada Guerrero and her husband Lord of Durham NC; a sister Carla Roy and her husband Steven of Baldwinville; two brothers, Justin McCall and his wife Beatriz, Jordan McCall of Billerica; three grandchildren, Dominic Morales, Joyceanna-Rose Escobar, and baby Guerrero due January 2023; his grandmother Joan McCall of Westminster, a nephew Zachary Roy, a niece Nicholette Roy, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. John was predeceased by his soul mate and fiancé Kristen L. Gustafson who passed away in May, his paternal grandfather Lt. Col. John J McCall, his maternal grandparents Francis Patrick and Mildred A. (Aikey) Betz, his cousin Mark Gagne, and three aunts Josephine Putnam, Kathryn Fortune and Theresa Gagne. His funeral service will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 12PM in the Isabelle & Anderson Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon St., Fitchburg. Calling hours will be held prior to the funeral in the funeral home from 10AM to 12PM. Burial will be St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Fitchburg.
