Jesse E. Merrill

PEPPERELL: Jesse Earl Merrill, 43, of Pepperell. We are distraught to share that Jesse passed away on July 20, 2022, succumbing to his battle with addiction. A battle he fought every day. First and foremost, Jesse was a loving and involved family man, father, son, brother, and great friend to those he loved. Jesse was born on June 10, 1979, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua, NH to Earl F. Merrill and the late Diane M. (Howell) Merrill. He leaves his father, Earl F. Merrill and his wife Marcia Zaniboni of Pepperell; his children, Jailyn and Sean Merrill, his ex-wife and best friend, Leah (Evans) Merrill all of Townsend; his siblings, Jamie Merrill Blood and her husband, Kyle of Lunenburg, Kelly Cotty and her husband, Adam of the White Mountains, NH, Shannon Morissette and her husband, Matt of Lunenburg, Sumner Valeriani and her husband, Danny and Katelynn Corbin all of Medford. In addition, he leaves his nieces and nephews: Micaela and Matthew Moore, Aliyk Krauss, Kaden, Andyn, Kahli and Adasyn Cotty and Myles Morissette. He also leaves his cousin Patrick Carroll, He was pre-deceased by his cousin, Francis “Frankie” Carroll. Described by his family, “Jesse was an amazing free soul that lived life to the fullest, he went 100% full throttle with everything he did.” He was passionate, and described by many as “the funniest person they knew”. He was hilarious and could make you laugh until your stomach hurt. Open and warm hearted, confident and often referred to himself as “Prime-Rib”. Fiercely loyal and very protective of his family, he was the master of prank wars. His close loved ones truly felt that he could stop the wind. Home-made apple pie, meat loaf and Shepard’s Pie made his entire week. He loved his mother so much and he was her favorite, that we all knew and accepted. He appreciated everything his father did for him and his unconditional support. He is going to be missed more than words can ever describe, the hole in our hearts will forever remain. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to an account set up for his children would be very appreciated. Jesse’s family will receive family and friends at calling hours Sunday, July 24, 2022 at the Anderson Funeral Home, 250 Main Street, (Rte 119) Townsend Center.
