Jacqueline A. (Cormier) Marrama

Jacqueline A. Marrama (Cormier) of Fitchburg, 81, passed away Sunday January 1st 2023 at Health Alliance hospital in Leominster. Jackie was born in Fitchburg in 1941 the daughter of Edgar and Ethel (Connor) Cormier and resided most of her life in Fitchburg and was a graduate of Fitchburg High School. Jackie spent many years working at Peerless Audio and Avery Dennison but her fondest memories were made when she started her new career later in life, taking care of her daycare kids. She took such good care of them for over 20 years before she retired and was still in touch with many of them before her passing. Jackie never sat still. She was always cleaning and was an avid gardener with the best-looking yard in the neighborhood. She enjoyed baking and poking around in the stores looking for trinkets. Some of her favorite things were her annual vacation with family at Hampton Beach, her time with Ray leaf peeping on the Mohawk Trail and spending time with her sister Cindy. She was a kind and giving person and a great resource for all her neighbors as they referred to her as the Mayor. She was fortunate enough to live in a community that surrounded her with so much love, always checking up on her and making her feels safe, it was much appreciated by all of her children. Her precious cats Trouble and Buttons are already missing her. She leaves five children and their spouses. Cynthia & Mark Blake, Christine and Bren Barber, Marianne & Tom Isabelle, Robert and Tammy Marrama and Melissa and Faisal Ahmed as well as her sister, Peggy Canale of New Jersey; eight grandchildren, Nicholas Marrama, Ashley Marrama, Brianna Barber, Alyssa Blake, Katie Blake, Jack Isabelle, Robert Isabelle and Sophia Ahmed. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert A. Marrama, Sr. in 1972; her sister, Joan Bean of Sanford, Maine and her longtime companion, Raymond McCullough in April of 2020 after 47 years together. Her favorite charities were Alzheimer’s and Dementia Jackie’s family will receive relatives and friends at a visitation period from 5-7 PM Monday, January 9, 2023 at the Isabelle & Anderson Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon Street, Fitchburg.
