Danny R. Irvin

WESTMINSTER: Danny R. Irvin, 80, of Westminster, died Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at his home following a lengthy illness. Dan was born in Odessa, TX to the late Adrian W. and Jonnie (Dease) Irvin and grew up in New Mexico and Atlanta, Georgia. His family was most important to him. He and his beloved wife Sandy were genuinely soulmates as they walked and danced through life's journey together. Dan and Sandy loved to entertain, opening their home to all for an impromptu gathering, holiday celebration, or a 4th of July bash. Dan was truly an amazing dad full of patience, guidance, love, and unwavering support for his children who could always count on him. Dan served in the US Army as a Sergeant, followed by over 30 years as a project manager at Digital Corporation, and then consulting work before retiring. Then, his most favorite job was being “Papa Daycare” for each of his three adored grandchildren during their early years. He cherished every moment of his grandchildren's company, relishing in their visits, and attending all their events and activities. Dan loved being with family and friends at parties and cookouts and enjoyed fishing, the beach, country music, family vacations, caring for his dogs, watching Red Sox and Patriots games, their summer place in Wells ME, being outside, and mostly spending lots of time with loved ones. With his quiet and reliable presence, Dan was always readily willing to give a listening ear, some words of wisdom, and a helping hand to everyone. Dan’s gentle spirit will live on through all those who loved him. He leaves behind his beloved wife Sandy, and children - Kim and her wife, Liz, of Florida; Kristina and her husband, Marc, and their daughters, Lyla and Celia; and Matt and his wife, Ashley, and their son, Lucas; as well as his brother, Bill, of Georgia, many close family members and friends, and his constant canine companion, “Ellie”. Danny’s family will receive relatives and friends at calling hours 4-7 PM Friday, January 2, 2026 at the Isabelle & Anderson Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon Street, Fitchburg. A service of prayer and reflection will be held at 6:30 PM
