Dale Ellis Moore, of Ashby

Dale Ellis Moore, age 88, left this world for her heavenly home on Saturday January 11, 2025. She was born in Clinton, a daughter of Ralph and Florence (Whitcomb) Sontag. Dale grew up in Bolton. She loved horseback riding and was amazing at collecting seashells at the beach. Both her flower gardens and vegetable gardens showed her ability to make almost anything grow. She loved cooking and baking and spent much time blessing her family with her delicious and sometimes adventurous cooking endeavors. She spent many hours pouring her life and love into her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be remembered and missed for all these things, but most of all she would wish to be remembered for her passionate love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was devoted to children’s ministries, taught Sunday school and was involved in C.E.F. Telling people about Jesus was something she practiced every day of her life through her words and the way she lived. Her life was a true testimony. She said it best “ What matters most is that you LOVE Jesus” She was the owner/operator of Art Products an injection molding corporation in Fitchburg. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Allan R. Ellis and her sisters, Donna Kurtz and Pam Whitman. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, David C. Moore of Ashby; her brother, Phil Sontag of Sterling; her son, Mike Ellis and his wife Sheila of Rindge, NH; her daughter, Crystal and her husband Donald Perron of Westminster; her son Scott Ellis and his wife Kathy of Rindge, NH; her daughter, Laura Ellis of Fitchburg. Dave’s children, Debbie Page of Warren, NH, Christine and her husband Lee Smith of Florida, Michael Moore and his wife Jenai of Rochester, NH, many grandchildren, many great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter, also nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 11AM in the Highland Baptist Church, 19 Cedar St., Fitchburg, MA. Burial will be in the spring in the Glenwood Cemetery in Ashby. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dale’s memory to Child Evangelism Fellowship.
