Kingman, Arizona: Richard W. Brill, Sr., 93, formerly of Clark Road, Shirley, died Saturday, February 4, 2012, at the Joan & Diana Hospice Home, Kingman, Arizona.

Richard W.  Brill, Sr.He leaves his wife of 73 years, Shirley L. (Austin) Brill; his daughter and son in law, Shirley Giaccarini Goulding and Loren Goulding of Townsend, a son and daughter in law, Richard and Mary Ann Brill of Kingman, Arizona; four grandchildren, Jeff Giaccarini, Ronald Brill, Kathryn Hubert, Susan Davidson; eight great grandchildren, Danielle Thibeault, Shelby Giaccarini, Christie Brill, Grady Brill, Ronnie Brill, Mia Brill, Ashley Hubert, Cody Hubert, Rae Lynn Davidson and Brandon Davidson.

He was precedeased by a granddaughter, Debby Thibeault of Townsend in 2006.

Richard was born in Shirley, November 26, 1918, a son of William and Dora (Walker) Brill and resided many years in Shirley before moving to Arizona in 2003.

Richard worked over 30 years as an inspector at Simonds Saw & Steel in Fitchburg, retiring in 1980.

During WW II he served his country in the United States Army. He served in the European-Middle Eastern Theater and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal. He also served in the United States Air Force after the war. His total dedicated military service was 20 years.

Arrangements

A private burial will be at Village Cemetery, Shirley, MA, at a later date.
