Regina M. (Lees) Pa'uAyer: Regina M. (Lees) Pa'u, 57, of Grosvenor Street, died Friday, February 17, 2012, at Nashoba Valley Medical Center, Ayer.
Mrs. Pa’u was born in Western Samoa, January 6, 1955, a daughter of late Charles and Lucy (Fonoti) Lees and grew up in Western Samoa. She has resided in Ayer for over 30 years. For 10 years she worked at Honeywell Corporation in Acton, retiring in 2009. She was accomplished in the art of Tae Kwon Do, having attained the level of third degree blackbelt. She also worked as an instructor at Parks Tae Kwon Do Martial Arts Studio in Lunenburg. She had been active in the Ayer Police Explorers Program and attended St. Mary’s Church in Ayer. Her primary love was for her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Pa’u is survived by her husband of 33 years, Muaau Pa’u; four sons, Steve H. Pa’u and Patrick T. Pa’u both of Ayer, Stanley M. Pa’u of Weymouth; Alika Pa’u of Shirley, two brothers, Charles Lees of Somerville, Herbert Lees of Samoa; three sisters, Lucy Seaver, Dale Teaney both of Florida, Jeannette Lees of Samoa; six grandchildren, Ioane Pa’u, Mikaele Pa’u, Alika Pa’u, Malosi Pa’u, Lolenese Pa’u and Muaau Pa’u. She was the sister of the late Douglas Lees of Samoa. ArrangementsA funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at St. Mary’s Church, 31 Shirley Street, Ayer. Mrs. Pa’u had a couragous battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (A.L.S.) over the past four years and left peacefully with her family by her side.
